Our typical response to disappointment, can sometimes look like us replacing God's plans with personal expectations, or missing Jesus amid our trials. The importance of not idolizing man-made substitutes or expectations, but seeking intimacy with Christ, is what we need to do. Pastor Luke emphasizes acknowledging God's presence in suffering, viewing it as an invitation to surrender and grow closer to Him.
