On Palm Sunday, Pastor Luke turns to the crowd that welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem, waving palm branches yet largely missing who He truly was. Through Matthew 21, he asks the searching question of whether we, too, expect Jesus to be the king of our own making rather than the Lord who comes to get to the heart of the matter. It is a fitting entry into Holy Week and an honest look at our own expectations of Christ.
